Become Happy Again by not stressing over small health issues. Yet, for no obvious reason, you feel drained. Constipation becomes routine, especially while traveling. Falling asleep is a struggle. Your hormones are all over the place. And despite everything, you hold onto those five or ten pounds like your life depends on it.
Does that sound familiar? I have also been there.
I was living on the French Riveria and working at my ideal job. I received large compensation for assisting Fortune 500 companies with their IT plans.
During the week, I worked in Paris, Dublin, London, and Manchester; on the weekends, I flew home to Nice from opulent hotels. On the beaches, at upscale clubs, and in opulent mansions, we partied like rock stars. I was a management-level executive who was about to become a partner at the age of twenty-nine.

My body, meantime, was not content. I had persistent fatigue. I had a bad night’s sleep. I also could not figure out why I was gaining weight despite doing yoga and exercising every day.
I experimented with the extreme Master Cleanse, which involved consuming lemon juice and maple syrup for a week. However, the excess weight would gradually return.
My hormones were out of control. My periods stopped after I stopped taking birth control tablets. I was not certain if that was the cause of my unhappiness and blotchy skin. And my mood was the worst. Despite all the glittering exterior decorations, I was not content.
The One Thing Most People Never Learn To Do
Then I listened, which is something that most people never learn to do.
I felt fantastic after doing yoga. I started small by increasing my yoga practice and eventually going to teacher training classes. Now fast-forward a few years.
I packed up my things, quit my job, and relocated to a yoga retreat center in Thailand. The motion seemed spontaneous and genuine.
I had a yoga retreat business and lived simply in a little bungalow. My health also got better. My sleep was good. After a while, my periods came back. My glitter came back, and I felt better and better.
Stopping and listening is the first and most crucial step. Your mind and body are closely related. You will learn a lot if you pay attention to your body. You will get to your pot of gold faster than you might think if you start with small steps.
This is something you can accomplish.
It is not impossible to do so, despite what you might assume. I will explain how.
Let us first examine three fundamental ideas that might help you.
Don’t Make This Monumental Mistake

The majority of people disregard their minor yet bothersome health problems. There is no unimportant aspect of your health. Everything counts. Your digestive system. Your capacity to reduce abdominal fat. Your bowel motions.
If you want to bury your head in the sand and run screaming, you are not alone. Consider altering your perspective.
Instead of classifying your problems, pay attention to the hints your body gives you. You do not use the restroom every day, for instance. usually due to a very basic factor: a deficiency in dietary fiber. See what happens if you include ground flax and an apple in your breakfast.
The Alarming Truth About Stress
It has the power to make or ruin your best health-related goals. Stress is the body’s normal reaction to perceived danger.
Stress for cavemen came when a lion was going to charge; we had to bolt like lightning.
When under stress, we shut down non-essential processes and maximize our resources for survival. Translation? Your blood sugar spikes, your sex hormones (testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen) turn into cortisol, and your digestion comes to a complete stop.
Sometimes this is OK. Are you experiencing low-grade stress all the time? Consider the chaos and internal conflict.
IBS, constipation, weight gain, insomnia, elevated blood sugar, and hormone abnormalities—for women, absent or missed periods, severe PMS, and fertility problems—are some of the stressors associated with the illness. Furthermore, they are only the beginning.
Your mind and body are similar to the matrix.
In Western medicine, every issue is treated independently, resulting in a different specialist for every illness.
Eastern medicine views your body as a single, cohesive entity rather than a collection of disparate, unconnected pieces. High levels of stress may be the cause of your insomnia. Alternatively, a lack of fiber in your diet could be the cause of your weight gain and constipation.
Let us now discuss what you must do.
I have to provide your personal, top-tier health advocate first, though. Furthermore, it is not your yoga instructor, chiropractor, or even doctor.
It is you.
1. What silence can teach you about listening.

Make time to hear what your innermost desires are. I looked for strict guidelines and diets in an attempt to find answers outside of myself. To block out my thoughts, I ate. Although it was difficult, I eventually revealed my truths. You can do it, too, I am sure. Choose a time and dedicate ten minutes every day. Take a deep breath and pay attention.
What is your emotional, mental, and physical state?
Keep a journal close at hand so you can record any ideas. Take note of what comes to mind. If you begin to lose yourself in your thoughts, remind yourself to breathe.
2. What would happen if you followed your passions right now?
In little steps, you can accomplish this right now. Set aside time for the activities you enjoy.
What is your ideal daily schedule? Make a list of your top priorities and come up with simple fixes.
Get up twenty minutes early to work out. Perform a sequence of exercises such as leg lifts, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups.
Spend more time with your kids and refuse pointless involvement in committees, boards, etc.
More creative time: set aside time on the weekends to write, create, or do whatever else you enjoy.
Consider it an important appointment.
I used to get up early to do yoga at home before work when I had a corporate job. I was considerably happier and more productive during the day, and I did not miss the sleep. I enjoyed my holy morning ritual, but I had no control over the remainder of the day.
3. Say goodbye to your job if it makes you unhappy.
Perhaps you need money immediately to provide for your family. No issue. Limiting your working hours is important. Make the remainder matter.
Put your iPhone aside and turn off your TV. Spend quality time with your loved ones. You miss out on crucial leisure activities when you are thinking on work.
Your tribe, parents, siblings, friends, and children will always be significant members of your people. Do not worry about minor details. Longevity-promoting cultures place a strong emphasis on family, support systems, and interpersonal ties. The village’s wealthiest people are not the elders; they are the influential people.
4. How to glow from the inside out.

Our genetic makeup predisposes us to a diet high in whole foods. As a general rule, you should consume less processed food.
Whole foods are the foundation of the majority of diets that do work, including vegan, low-carb, and paleo. Although their contents differ, they all promote fruits, vegetables, and high-quality protein sources.
Let us get back to those annoying health problems. Examine your diet honestly. How could you improve? What would you be open to changing?
I used to habitually overindulge in nutritious foods. Even though I had a good diet, I utilized food to mask my inner sadness. I detested my work. I experienced loneliness and isolation.
Make one modification every month to start. Not any more. Avoid sugary drinks and have a glass of water with your meals.Alternatively, have a salad for lunch or dinner.
5. Here’s a little-known secret about your mind.
After consuming a dish of fried food, how do you feel? or a large supper at a restaurant with dessert after? I feel groggy and lethargic.
After consuming a bowl of candy, perhaps? Like a cadet in space? Sugar causes blood sugar levels to rise, which impairs concentration.
Do you want to maintain mental clarity and alertness? Select high-quality cold-pressed oils, legumes such as beans and lentils, fresh fruits and vegetables, and healthy fats from nuts and seeds.
Why Most People Fail Miserably

In other words, they do not put their own health first. Stay out of that rabbit hole.
It is not your responsibility to prioritize the health of others over your own.
Making excuses for things you should be doing but are not is not your responsibility.
Being your most ardent health advocate is your responsibility. You have to put up a fierce struggle to make the best decisions for your health.
If you never do anything, all your excellent intentions are for nothing. I have also been there. I have disregarded my body. It was an error.
Begin with small adjustments, such as eating an apple and oatmeal for morning. Observe your improved mood. Your desire to do more will be strong.
You feel better and are happier when you live a good life. But it takes a little guts and willpower.
Take a single, small step in the right way to begin. Decide on your initial course of action in five minutes.
You deserve to live a healthier life, you know that.
And more joy.
